Support Groups

The purpose of Foster Carer support groups is an opportunity for foster carers to get together in an informal setting. This is to mutually support each other and give an opportunity to offload or to offer support and encouragement to other foster carers. You can share stories and offer mentorship to others. You are part of the Embrace team and not in this on your own. You can celebrate successes together. This is also a chance to seek clarification of options for change with Embrace fostering.

Being part of this group will build your resilience and develop new skills and knowledge.  Support groups forms part of the Mockingbird support model and you will make firm strong and support friendships.

Embrace also offer specific support groups, for example Disability support groups, or birth children support groups.
